How did everyone go about picking their bully? Not how you picked your breeder but how did you know that the bully you picked was the one for you? I've always heard you should pick the most active or the one that comes over to you. Just wondering what method everyone used. I know the next bully I get, I'm picking the laziest bully I can find.

i didnt get to pick mine, he was a gift from the husband and his two kids, and even then the husband didnt pick him, my step daughter was the one that picked him and she said she picked the cutest one, the breeder didnt really want to let that one go, but she brought him to show her and she chose him, he was the smallest (at that time....not so now)

My son rescued Harley and brought her home--and the rest is history there, same with our beloved Dutchie--love at first sight at not a great time to adopt, in ourlives--but it turned out to be the best of times. And now with little miss muffet, well, her tail is a bit strange and I thought that no one would want her because of that so I made her the first chosed rather than waiting until possibly last--its been a great choice---see.....

With Tank we had 1st pick of the litter...we wanted a male...two males were in the litter and the second male was having problems. So we chose Tank...Loved his eye patched side of his face...the other male pulled through. But was not disappointed in our choice. As for Sarge...We were looking for a SPRING pup. With Cole mourning Butchie who passed away. My contacts which knew we were looking for a pup...contacted me. I still would not have gotten a winter pup had it not been for the discussion my husband and I had the night before. My husband on our way home from Canton...stated about him eventually getting a Harley...and couldn't I just see myself behind him on one of those. And I stated..."The closest thing you'll have to a Harley is if you get a dog and name it Harley" [He had teased about a motorcycle for years and it was the first time I came up with something so clever I thought] That next morning...in my email was correspondance from one of my feelers I had sent out in search of a pup. It basically stated he knew it wasn't spring yet. But felt the need to let me know of a woman who had a pup available. He had been the first pick of the litter and the person ended up with financial issues and couldn't purchase the pup now. And...that she the breeder had used his stud "HARLEY" though that was just his nickname his website stated his registered name as ______" Which at this momment I forget what it is. Well I felt it was an omen or something...so that is how we ended up driving 4 hours one way with the weather forcast calling for 14 inches of snow! The snow hit when we were almost there...but we had to drive home in it...ICKY! Thank goodness for Jeeps! Sarge is my "heart" doggie...

She was extremely lucky that day that you fell for her Slobber Snort ploy...
