We brought her sample in the other day and it test with a high ph and she said to see how things go for the next few days--I haven't had a chance to look that up yet....  she seems fine and there arent the horrible  problems that the uti gave us to begin with.

Praying that lil' Ava will get a clean bill of health...and the high PH isn't something to concern yourself with. Glad to hear that she isn't having the issues she once did. That has to be a good sign.

Zoe is the same way Darlene. All I have to do is tell her to drop it and she will spit whatever it is in her mouth out. She also has to sniff everything before eating it and won't accept food/treats from strangers. When I take her in petstores the clerks always try to give her treats but she just turns her nose up at them but if I take the treat and give it to her she will gobble them right up. The clerks are always amazed and wonder how I taught her that but I didn't, it's just something she has always done on her own.

You maybe onto something Grace...it may just be Sarge's make up...and not really taught by me...Food for thought.

If her PH is high I would do the apple cider vinegar in her water to balance out the PH level.  http://bulldogchannel.com/smf/index.php?topic=1030.0

What is the dosage that they are giving her? What antibiotic is it?

the apple cidar vinnie has helped but the infection is coming back--they symptoms don't lie.  One tues they want to stick a needle into her bladder to get a clean sample to determine exactly what germ is causing the problem.   the thought of it makes me ill--has anyone ever heard of this???  I am pretty much not liking the idea.

Never had female dogs...so no can't say that I've heard of it. I'm sure that they need to find out what exactly is going on. And if this test they plan on doing...will do that. Then hopefully you'll be able to find a reasonable cure for this UTI she keeps having.

What has your breeder said...if anything. Of her having one for so long?
